Tell us about your business.
We’re a full-service entertainment company specializing in weddings and featuring professional disc jockeys, musicians, vocalists, uplighting, custom monogram lighting, photo booths and more. Our disc jockeys have more than a decade of wedding DJ experience, and we have a full range of musicians including cellists, violinists, pianists and harpists.

What daily challenges affect your business?
Our business is affected by competition, the economy and technology. It’s becoming more difficult to compete with the non-professional “iPod” DJ. We overcome these challenges by offering unique services at affordable prices. We are also very proud of our perfect client reviews across multiple wedding sites.

How do you use RingCentral in your business?
We decided to go to RingCentral because we operate in several area codes, and we wanted to centralize our phone services. We were using Google Voice for our phone service. Although Google Voice is excellent, you can only forward one line to your cell phone, and we had six phones. RingCentral allows us to consolidate phone numbers and place customers directly in touch with the correct department or employee.

Advice for other small business owners?
I guess my best advice is, in order to compete and be profitable, you must invest in the important areas – your business equipment (for us sound and lighting systems), your website and your means of communicating with your clients. For us, RingCentral was a smart investment!

Tell us about your business.

We’re a new event-planning and floral-design business in Richland, Mississippi. We handle events of all sizes, from 10 to 1,000 guests. It’s our goal to enable our clients to relax and enjoy their day while we handle all the “final touches”.

What are your challenges as a business owner?
Our biggest challenge right now as a new business is getting more clients. We’re doing lots of advertising and marketing right now to get the word out about what we do.

How has RingCentral helped your business?
RingCentral enables me to fax all the important documents that I use for my business such as contracts, proposals and invoices. Not only do I save space in my office because I don’t need a fax machine, I can send and receive faxes even when I’m not at my desk.

Advice for other small business owners?
You can never give up on your dream. If you work hard and believe in yourself, you’ll be successful. I started this business, and things at times have been difficult. But I haven’t given up and don’t plan to. I am determined to make this work, and I will continue to work!
