Tuff Shed, America’s premier supplier of storage buildings and garages

Businesses today are faced with many challenges—from scaling rapidly to growing globally to connecting more efficiently. Communications plays an incredibly important role in addressing these challenges, while also supporting the future success of the overall business. Our customers are increasingly telling us that the legacy on-premises systems they’ve been using simply can’t keep up with the mobile-first world we operate in today. Their employees want to talk, text, and collaborate on a single platform from any device, anywhere around the world. To support these requirements, IT leaders need flexible technology that can accommodate their organization’s evolving needs.

Tuff Shed, America’s premier supplier of storage buildings and garages, is one such example of a growing company that was ripe for change. Finding it difficult to support a distributed workforce with its previous communications infrastructure, Tuff Shed also realized it lacked the collaboration tools needed to optimize workplace efficiency. Tuff Shed recognized the limitations of a legacy phone system and lack of messaging and collaboration. This prompted their decision to move to the cloud, choosing RingCentral as their single unified communications and collaboration solution.

By implementing RingCentral Office, Tuff Shed’s employees across 130 locations now have voice, video, conferencing, team messaging, and collaboration capabilities on a single platform. This seamless experience empowers the Tuff Shed workforce to be more mobile and productive, while enabling the IT team to easily administer and scale the solution as the company continues to grow. In addition, to better serve and engage customers, Tuff Shed’s sales and support teams are using RingCentral Contact Center integrated with RingCentral Office.

With more than half of its retail sites and factories currently running on RingCentral and growing, Tuff Shed also has plans to leverage RingCentral’s integrations with leading cloud business applications, such as Salesforce, to further streamline daily workflow and improve overall productivity.

According to Juan Ruiz, director of information technology at Tuff Shed, they were previously using an on-premises legacy system for voice-based communications and various on-premises and cloud providers for messaging needs. “Our biggest challenge with our legacy system was the minimal mobility afforded by the solution, which proved to be a challenge for our increasingly distributed workforce. We’ve reached a point now in our growth where it’s critical for us to have the flexibility and agility to move quickly. With RingCentral, we have a truly unified single solution with voice, video, conferencing, team messaging, and collaboration, all built on an open platform.”

We’re also happy to see Tuff Shed’s initial success working with RingCentral’s Professional Services team to get things up and running quickly. As they continue with their deployment, we look forward to partnering closely with them to maximize the full potential of the RingCentral platform and the positive impact this has on their business.
