At RingCentral, we’re invested in delivering a unified experience when it comes to business communications for the enterprise.  We firmly believe that in order to empower today’s modern, mobile workforce, enterprises need an anywhere, anytime communications solution that works from any device.

Since we announced our collaboration with Google Cloud last year, we continue to expand our global footprint and deepen our integration by adding functionality for users to initiate calls and send SMS messages from their Chrome browser; log into their RingCentral account with their associated Gmail email; schedule RingCentral meetings in Gmail; and a host of other time-saving tasks that can increase productivity and create one hub for users’ business communication needs.

Today, we are announcing new Google Workspace integrated features across our RingCentral Office products to make it even easier and faster for users to benefit from RingCentral’s features within Google Workspace. These new features are:

Click-to-dial and SMS: The ability to click a phone number on any page in a Chrome browser to make a call or send an SMS using the RingCentral for Google Chrome Extension, helping improve workstream efficiency and productivity.

Google Login: Google Workspace users can now use their email credentials to log into their RingCentral account for a unified experience across web, mobile, and desktop.

Besides these latest product offerings, the RingCentral partnership with Google includes a host of features with business needs in mind such as:

Integrated soft-phone: Inside Gmail Inbox and Google Calendar, the RingCentral softphone is always available.

Google contacts: With RingCentral for Google Chrome Extension, users can combine their Google and RingCentral contacts for easy access to all their contacts without the need to enter data in multiple applications.

Voicemail and meetings: Now, users can listen to voicemail without leaving Gmail, and schedule conference calls directly in Google Calendar. It also works with Google Hangouts, so users can quickly connect up to 1000 participants.

Collaborate with Google Drive: Using RingCentral Glip for collaboration and RingCentral Meetings, import documents from Google Drive into Glip conversations and RingCentral Meetings.

Fax from Google Docs: Using RingCentral’s fax plug-in, users can fax documents using their RingCentral account directly from Google Docs, eliminating the need to download or print documents for faxing.

Embed communications: With RingCentral’s open APIs, users can integrate communications into their Google Cloud business applications.

Coming later in 2017, users will have:

  • A more efficient provisioning process with RingCentral
  • An enhanced Hangout scheduling experience
  • Ability to archive voice recordings, voicemails, text messages, and fax with Google Drive

RingCentral integrates even more enterprise communication features directly into Google Workspace. To see the new integrated offerings, learn about our APIs, and demo the features and functionality of RingCentral for Google, come see us at Google Cloud Next, March 8-10, Booth #E19 Moscone West.
