thetaylorsWe’re feeling the love this week and have another great story to share with you.

Today, we’re featuring Tasha and Andy Taylor of Taylor & Taylor Law Firm. As attorneys with a new practice, they are busy working on cases through the day while also juggling the demands of growing a new business. Here’s how they are making it work while still finding time for each other.

Tell Us About Your Business.
We are a law firm located in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Our practice areas include appellate advocacy, collections law, business litigation, real estate and personal injury.

Tell Us How You Met.
We met in law school while we were both studying for our final exams at the end of our first semester. We started studying together, and after our last exam, we went on our first date to look at the Christmas lights around Little Rock. We continued to date through law school, got engaged the night before we graduated and were married two weeks after taking the bar exam.

What Daily Challenges Affect Your Business?
A daily challenge that we have is handling interruptions. Even though we only started our firm a few months ago, we have a strong client base. So we must focus on working on their cases as much as possible during the day. However, as a growing firm, we invest heavily in marketing and get multiple calls from potential clients throughout the day.

How Do You Use RingCentral in Your Business?
We find that RingCentral helps us in several ways. First, we like that we can have our voicemail messages emailed to us.  This means that we can check our voicemail even when we have to be away from the office in meetings or hearings. Second, we like that we can schedule calls to forward to our cell phones. This allows us to take calls from clients and potential clients when we’re away from the office. Third, we like the RingCentral app on our phones. In particular, we like the fact that even though we’re calling from our cell phone, our office number shows up on their caller ID.

Do You Have Any Advice to Give Other Small Business Owners?
As a small business, you will need to spend as much time as possible doing whatever it is that your business does. For us, it’s law. Therefore, we outsource as much of the technology-related aspects of our business as possible. We use RingCentral for phones because it makes our job easier, but we also use cloud computing solutions for our file server, email and case management. We recommend shifting as much technology management as possible to other parties.
