Genius Food Fuels Aggressive Growth with Cloud Communications

Genius Food is a market leader in the gluten-free food industry. In 2009, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne founded the company in Edinburgh after she struggled to find delicious gluten-free bread in supermarkets and decided to create her own. Now, Genius Food baked goods can be found in stores around the world. Genius Food has more than 120 employees across three UK offices.

For Genius Food, pursuing an aggressive growth strategy while managing global partners and three different offices meant finding a new way of streamlining communications to facilitate business processes. Preventing communications from becoming siloed between offices and partners is critical to helping the business expand. Previously, Genius Food operated on a legacy PBX system that was difficult to manage as each site dealt with different parts of the system, including hardware, phones lines, and software.

After studying the market, Business Systems Manager Stewart Ross decided to set up a RingCentral test account with 10 users who each had distinct roles and communications needs. The results of this test proved to be very favorable for both Genius Food and RingCentral. Genius Food was impressed with the efficiency of having all the tools unified in one system, and subsequently more than 120 employees were migrated to the system.

RingCentral’s features, integration capabilities, and seamless implementation were key drivers for Genius Food’s migration to the cloud. Their teams can now communicate and collaborate with ease, thanks to video conferencing and mobility that support employees anywhere in the world, whether on site or remote. Genius Food no longer needs to worry about keeping track of their legacy system and managing hardware; instead, it can spend more time growing its business.
