RingCentral empowers Global Service Providers to handle “The new normal”

This shift is changing how people work and at the same time forcing businesses to rethink how they support their people including the increasing usage of mobile tools and applications to get work done. It’s no longer about the time spent in an office, but instead about how employers are supporting their workforce with modern-day communications solutions. Whether we are sitting in our homes, the office, or a cafe at the beach, workers today need the tools to communicate, collaborate, and connect with their teams, partners and end customers.

Service providers are a clear fit for solving remote work challenges, with mobility, networking, and 5G offers that connect workers wherever they are. I’m Homayoun Razavi and today RingCentral announced my role leading the company’s Global Service Providers business unit. RingCentral has key partnerships today with global service providers including AT&T in the U.S., BT in the UK, and TELUS in Canada. Our new business unit aims to simplify the journey to the cloud for service providers and their end customers—combining our world-class cloud communications platform with our industry-leading go-to-market strategy. For RingCentral, service providers present a strategic opportunity for mobile/5G innovation, global expansion, and legacy PBX migration.

I’m thrilled to be here at RingCentral and be joined by a world-class team including Sandra Krief, VP of Americas – formerly at BroadSoft, Coriant and Samsung; Yves Desmet, VP of EMEA – formerly at BroadSoft, Calix, and Clarent; Nicolas Nehme, VP of Global SE – formerly with BroadSoft, Cisco, and Sprint.

The opportunity is significant. Service providers globally can leverage RingCentral to accelerate innovation while delivering a proven cloud-based communications solution that is scalable, reliable, and secure. Partnering with RingCentral gives service providers a turnkey cloud-based solution that’s fully managed – without the OPEX and CAPEX burden. This allows service provider partners to dedicate resources toward other key strategic areas like 5G and IoT, while expanding revenue to capture demand in the growing Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) markets.

In my time here at RingCentral so far, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know some of the key folks from AT&T, BT, and TELUS who are working with RingCentral. The one takeaway that I hear from them is that RingCentral is a dedicated partner who deeply understands cloud communications, but also has a vision for how service providers can differentiate across their go-to-market and value-added solutions.
