We like to think we play an active and even proactive role in the communities around us. After all, that’s what our corporate social responsibility wing, RCause, was made for. We have an entire team of individuals dedicated to finding opportunities for RingCentral to

But when wildfires struck Boulder County in December 2021, it was personal. The wildfires destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced thousands of families in Colorado—all over the New Year weekend.

It’s time to redefine work with equity, inclusivity, and understanding

Why did this mean so much to us? Our Denver and Boulder offices are a huge part of our company. The people in those offices are teammates, colleagues, and friends of fellow RingCentral employees across the world.

And when their communities are impacted, we respond.

How we contributed to the relief

One of the biggest missions of RCause is to support the causes our employees care about most. In this case, our employees wanted to help provide relief to those impacted by the wildfires.

With the help of employees throughout RingCentral, we launched a fundraising campaign for the Boulder County Wildfire Fund, a philanthropic organization run by the Community Foundation Boulder County.

The organization partners with local government and nonprofit partners to coordinate, align resources, and distribute help to those most impacted by the wildfires.

We were blown away by the response. In less than a week, employees alone donated over $10,000 to the fundraiser. RingCentral is excited to match this donation with corporate dollars through RCause, contributing over $14,000 to wildfire relief.

More to come in 2022

RingCentral is growing faster than ever. Just this week, we announced a record-breaking 2021 finish with a revenue of $1.6 billion. And we have several new innovations we’re excited to share in 2022.

And with such exponential growth, our corporate social responsibility wing, RCause, is just getting started. The wildfire relief is only the beginning. Keep an eye out for more exciting causes we support in the coming year and learn more about our flagship solution RingCentral MVP here.
