A little over 15 years ago, our CEO, Vlad Shmunis, had a vision and plan to harness the power of cloud computing to transform business communications. His relentless focus on innovation is an integral part of the culture at RingCentral. In my role of EVP of Innovation, I’m always looking at how we can continue to build on our strong record of innovation, to stay at the forefront of the innovation curve for product development, and stay in the leader position in what is quickly becoming a crowded marketplace.
To that end, two years ago, we announced the launch of our RingCentral Connect Platform™, giving developers access to the tools they needed to build custom or out-of-the-box integrations with RingCentral to add powerful collaborative communications capabilities to business applications. I would like to share some new milestones we’ve achieved that illustrate the amazing traction we’re seeing with our platform:
- 100+ partner-built integrations
- 9 million API calls a day
- 200% annual increase in platform usage
- 5,000+ developers in the Connect Platform community
We’re not stopping there, and this is why I’m excited to share with you our Connect Platform Partner Program announcement we made today. We’re adding more structure and unity to the program. We have added a tiered program—Authorized, Premier, and Elite—which was created to meet the varied needs of the partner program members. And we’re adding additional benefits and resources for developers and the go-to-market program offerings.
We will continue to expand on the foundation we laid two years ago when we debuted the Connect Platform, and we will continue to welcome the countless newcomers who are accelerating the adoption of collaborative communications to deliver a unified experience to all users in the workplace.
RingCentral was one of the first UCaaS vendors to launch a platform with open APIs. We are focused on expanding the most robust platform for our developers and customers so your application can be enterprise ready on day one.
As someone who has been part of the Connect Platform journey since the beginning—and it has been an exciting ride—we can’t wait to see what future innovations will bring.
