UC Today, the leading publication for unified communications and collaboration recently announced its 2020 UC Awards. RingCentral was honored in multiple categories including:
Best Collaboration Platform, Best Wholesale Cloud Communications Provider, Best Cloud Communications Provider, and Best UC Platform. Additionally, the UC Today Judging Panel selected our Founder and CEO Vlad Shmunis as the UC Leader of the Year!
According to the UC Today judging panel, “Vlad has demonstrated continued innovation, sealed a landmark partnership with Avaya, and continued to grow whilst reaching its $1 billion revenue target by 2020. The list is long, and this level of achievement made him the perfect candidate for the award.”
I’ve had the honor of working with Vlad since RingCentral’s early days, I’ve been by his side as he led our company from a venture capital-funded start-up to a billion-dollar organization listed in the Forbes Global 2000. We’ve had many achievements along the way, including:
- Five straight years as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide report (2015-2019)
- The top-ranked company in the IHS Markit North American UCaaS Leadership three years in a row
- The highest-ranked for growth in Frost & Sullivan’s 2019 UCaaS Radar Report
One of the things I truly appreciate about working with Vlad is his focus on employees’ and customers’ success. Few people have taken a company from the kitchen table to where we are now. This year, based on employee surveys, Vlad ranked as the #2 CEO for Diversity (Between Microsoft and Google) and the #8 CEO for Women. He’s worked hard to build a purpose-driven culture where people have a sense of belonging and opportunity.
