On December 27th, the winners of the the 3rd Sci-tech Innovation Festival (STIF2022) and the International Digital Services Conference Awards (DSC2022), were announced. RingCentral won the 2022 Exemplary Digital Innovation Award and Vice President & General Manager of China, Marc Chan, was named the 2022 Digital Enabler of the Year. The STIF2022 awards recognize RingCentral’s exemplary digital innovation and development. Previous winners include SAP, AWS, 3M, and Honeywell.

The Sci-tech Innovation Festival and the International Digital Service Conference were held last December in Shanghai, with the theme of “Digital Engine, Smart Future.” The event is one of the most influential annual events in the field of technological innovation and digital services in China, showcasing technology achievements and conveying the spirit of technological ingenuity to the public. More than 800 online and offline guests participated, with 300+ top technology and innovation brands gathered to showcase their revolutionary achievements. Over 130 well-known guests shared cutting-edge views online and offline, and the cumulative number of online viewers reached an impressive 16 million.

Marc Chan, named the 2022 Digital Enabler of the Year, leads the management of RingCentral’s China R&D Center and Technology Innovation, supporting RingCentral’s Global Business Development. While the recent epidemic interrupted the normal operations of every industry, RingCentral innovated to meet new marketplace demands. Under challenging circumstances, Chan led the China R&D team to launch RingCentral Video® in time to help enterprises resume work and achieve the working flexibility to enhance anti-risk management as well as collaboration efficiency.
In 2022, The China R&D team showcased hundreds of new innovative functions to further optimize RingCentral MVP™ UCaaS platform (including team messaging, video conference and cloud telephone system) making the product more comprehensive and intelligent. These innovations help enterprises utilize one platform to support communication and collaboration while achieving the overall digital transformation of internal and external communication. Marc believes that digital transformation is not just simply deploying a digital system and using it as an assistant tool, but more than that, businesses can optimize the digital transformation of their platform, redesigning the work mode and flow, so that digitalization proceeds the upgrade of the entire operation.
Prior to joining RingCentral, Marc spent 16 years at SAP in the US, Asia Pacific and China as Global Vice President. He has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software, cloud technology and application innovation, and has helped many companies successfully implement digital transformation. In 2021, Marc was awarded the “Outstanding Management Person of the Year” by Harvard Business Review China for his outstanding leadership and management in post-COVID era China.
