A healthy balance between work and family life lays the foundation for a more connected, engaged workplace — something we value deeply at RingCentral. On June 7, our China teams in Xiamen and Hangzhou hosted Family Day events that invited employees and their loved ones to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a day of togetherness.
These moments weren’t just about fun—they reflected our ongoing commitment to supporting the whole person, creating space for shared experiences, and strengthening the sense of community within and beyond the workplace.
Nature, play, and shared experiences
From camping and barbecuing in Xiamen to bug exploration and tie-dye crafts in Hangzhou, the day was filled with laughter, curiosity, and creativity. Parents and children worked together, explored nature, and made keepsakes to take home. Whether discovering insects up close or trying to master the perfect grilled skewer, the joy came from doing it all together.
Bridging family and work life
Family Day gave spouses and children a glimpse into the people behind the job titles. For many, it was the first time stepping into the wider community their loved ones are part of every day. This visibility helped break down the invisible line between work and home, fostering stronger understanding and appreciation on both sides.
Strengthening connections across teams
The event also created a relaxed setting for colleagues from different departments to mingle, collaborate, and simply enjoy time together outside the usual routines. Moments like teaming up for games or helping each other’s kids with an activity sparked new conversations and connections that often carry back into the workplace.
A workplace that grows with its people
More than a day of celebration, Family Day reflected a deeper belief: when people feel seen and supported not just as employees, but as individuals with families and responsibilities, they’re more likely to feel rooted in their work and connected to the company. We believe that when families are strong, teams are stronger — and we’re committed to creating a workplace where people can grow and thrive, both personally and professionally.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us in making these events special. We believe strong families build stronger teams — and we remain committed to cultivating a workplace where people can thrive, both at work and at home.
