At RingCentral, we believe in giving back to our community and investing in the next generation of tech leaders. That’s why we’ve partnered with universities and associations across Bulgaria to help students grow and thrive in the world of tech. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this spring.

Supporting the American Chamber of Commerce Hackathon

We take great pride in our collaborations with the local communities and associations. This April, we teamed up with the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria to power and support their exciting, second annual student hackathon

Students from three establishments took part in this initiative: Technical University Sofia, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Plovdiv University “St. Paisiy Hilendarski”. A total of 12 teams, made up of 65 talented students joined the event. They pitched tech-and business-related  projects, supported by their mentors from leading IT companies of Bulgaria.

We were honored to participate in the closing ceremony and celebrate the winning teams with customized memorabilia.

Connecting at the New Bulgarian University Career Fair

Planning out your future career can be a challenging step, especially when you’re new to the labour market. That’s where events these, matter — they allow students to explore company cultures, learn what roles fit them, and connect with future opportunities.

We were excited to take part in the Career fair event organized by the New Bulgarian University. We prepared some fun activities to break the ice and get to know our company better — as well as some gifts for those nailing the tasks at our booth. It was an inspiring moment and we were really grateful to meet so many enthusiastic young professionals. We can’t wait to see where their careers take them — perhaps, even to RingCentral.

Celebrating the Graduates

Another exciting milestone for every young professional is their graduation day. Filled with hope and ambition for the future, this event is truly special. We were honored to attend the Graduation ceremony in the Technical University of Sofia to celebrate 120 graduates

Veronika Ivanova, HR manager, along with Stoyan Dragomanski, Product Manager, joined the ceremony on our behalf. We shared a few words of encouragement and guidance, and a gift to carry with them into their next chapter.

What’s next

As we deepen our university partnerships, we’re excited to create more pathways for students to connect with our team—through mentorship, internships, and practical learning experiences. Guest lectures and workshops are also in the works as we support the next generation of IT professionals.

We’re building on our momentum with the new academic year right around the corner. We’re excited to continue our collaboration and partnership with universities that connect students with our team.  Our engineers bring hands-on experience in development, testing, project management and more – several being mentors and educators for young professionals. .
