The UC Today Awards celebrate the most innovative and forward-thinking businesses in unified communications, collaboration, and customer experience. This year’s judging panel looked for organizations combining outstanding agility, innovation, growth and most importantly with a clear ability to solve real customer problems.

When announcing RingCentral as the winner of Best UCaaS provider (Global), Tim Banton, Head of Research and Business Intelligence at Today Digital, said: “When reviewing the submissions, I focused on five key areas. How innovative the solution was, if it clearly solved a real customer or business problem, what made it stand out from other solutions, and crucially, whether the claim made was backed up with solid evidence. - RingCentral AI Receptionist (AIR)—a voice-first AI agent—was central to this win. AIR is part of a wider shift in our industry: AI moving beyond automation to enable smarter workflows, proactive engagement and more personalized customer experiences.
- This recognition acknowledges our path toward making human-AI collaboration a practical and seamless reality that reshapes how businesses communicate every day.
When announcing RingCentral as the winner of Best Use of AI, Fazil Balkaya, Founder & Principal Analyst at Balkaya Consulting, shared his perspective on the judging process. “I was looking for AI developments and implementations going beyond low-hanging fruit AI products. (The) companies who further penetrate into workflows, further enable AI to make decisions and are more innovative when tackling real-world problems got higher points from me.”
