Cresa Streamlines Communication with RingCentral

BELMONT, Calif.—November 12, 2015 - RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE:RNG), a leading provider of cloud business communication solutions, today announced Cresa, a commercial real estate services company with over 60 offices across the world, has selected RingCentral Office to replace its legacy phone system and mobilize their workforce.  A key criteria for the selection of RingCentral was the product’s ability to integrate with the company’s customer relationship management system.

As part of the overall deployment, RingCentral has been rolled out to hundreds of Cresa employees, but will eventually be fully deployed to 1,000+ employees. With a dedicated professional services team, RingCentral has worked closely with Cresa to handle end-to-end deployment, ensuring the timely success of each office’s migration.

According to Cresa SVP of IT, Dave Nuss, “I joined Cresa four years ago, and found 11 different Customer Relationship Management systems in use, as well as a hodgepodge of Voice over IP and traditional PBX phone systems.  When it came time to look for a new enterprise communications product, one of the top considerations was, how does this integrate with Salesforce?  Everything we do today is cloud first, mobile mandatory – and RingCentral has been the right answer to fit our requirements.”

As the largest commercial real estate company focused exclusively on tenants, Cresa helps clients with all real estate needs, from site selection through transaction and project management. Cresa benefits from RingCentral’s click-to-call instant dialing of a number, rather than having to read a number off the screen and dial manually, as well as integrated call logging in account records. Furthermore, RingCentral Meetings gives Cresa employees instant conferencing and screen sharing capabilities.

One of Cresa’s primary goals was to eliminate the time that their advisors were wasting on fragmented and inefficient systems. For example, in many cases advisors would have to call in to get their voicemail, rather than having messages delivered via email to them, as they now do with RingCentral.  As an additional benefit with RingCentral, each employee at Cresa gets their own conference call number, avoiding any issues of shared conference lines and added costs of getting a separate conferencing bridge.

“We’ve been delighted to serve the Cresa team.  We’ve formed a true partnership committing ourselves to their success in helping them scale and improve their systems, and enabling them to be better engaged with their customers,” said Mitch Tarica, Vice President of Enterprise Sales, RingCentral Inc. “Our success with Cresa demonstrates RingCentral’s ability to deliver an innovative, mobile centric, cloud phone system that tightly integrates with CRM, while allowing them to maximize their potential, and save tremendously on time and costs.”

RingCentral Integrates Glip Team Messaging to RingCentral Office

BELMONT, Calif.—November 2, 2015 - RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE:RNG), a leading provider of cloud communication solutions, today announced the integration and general availability of Glip team messaging and collaboration for all RingCentral Office customers. Following the acquisition of Glip in June 2015, RingCentral’s integration marks a new chapter in its mission to transform business communications and deliver the first integrated cloud communications and collaboration platform that helps people work more productively and businesses to operate more efficiently than ever before.

Glip combines team messaging with file sharing, notes, task management, shared calendars, and integrations with other popular business applications such as Asana, Box, Dropbox, Evernote, GitHub, Google Drive, and Zendesk.  Adding powerful RingCentral capabilities to Glip such as click-to-call, corporate directory, audio and video conferencing, and online meetings now makes it faster and easier to escalate a group chat to a live real-time conversation.

“The workplace is undergoing a radical transformation. As teams world-wide become more distributed, and mobile, they are looking for more efficient ways to communicate and collaborate,” said RingCentral CEO, Founder and Chairman, Vlad Shmunis. “All core IT functions, including business communication and phone systems, are now moving to the cloud. This makes it now possible to seamlessly integrate traditional business communications with team collaboration and messaging. Instead of toggling between multiple single-point applications to get work done, we can empower people to send a message, assign a task, schedule an event, share a file, collaborate on a project, and make a call or schedule a conference – from one easy to use mobile, web, or desktop app.”

An increasing number of businesses are adopting team messaging and collaboration solutions to enable greater agility and team productivity. RingCentral believes voice and other modes of communication will play a fundamental role as part of a complete solution. According to Gartner, “By 2020, over 90% of enterprise voice calls in the digital workplace will originate from collaboration applications, up from less than 30% today.” Gartner, Inc., Research Note: Digital Workplace Employees Need an Enriched Voice to Collaborate More Effectively, Steve Blood, March 25, 2015.

“When we set out to integrate Glip with RingCentral, we had a few goals in mind: make it simple, make it scalable, make it integrated, and make it effortless to communicate and collaborate,” said Peter Pezaris, Founder of Glip, who’s now VP of Applications at RingCentral. “Bringing Glip into RingCentral Office creates unparalleled value for customers while empowering them to work, communicate, and collaborate more effectively than ever before.”

In the new release of Glip integrated with RingCentral Office, the application has been rebranded as Glip by RingCentral and includes the following new features:

· Single Sign On – Gives access to Glip using either RingCentral Office or corporate credentials

· Click-to-Call Voice – Click the phone icon on a coworker’s profile or in one-to-one conversations

· Corporate Directory – Look up and collaborate with co-workers in the RingCentral cloud phone system

· RingCentral Meetings – Launch RingCentral video and web conferences directly from a team chat

· Audio Conferencing – Start a conference call from within the context of a Glip team or group chat

“Glip has allowed us to broaden our reach and get outside of the inbox,” says Christina Yozallinas, Director of Services Operations for DemandGen Inc. “With Glip, we can create team conversations that align within our company projects and priorities, which has not only improved the individual team communications but has also provided a place for us to post upcoming events, highlight industry news, and obtain information or provide feedback as a company. Glip has helped our team significantly increase the level of collaboration and productivity, and have a much broader sense of community.”

General availability to all RingCentral Office customers begins this week, and will work across mobile devices, tablets, desktop and the web. Glip is currently included at no additional cost to all RingCentral Office customers globally. Glip also continues to be available as a stand-alone product for non-RingCentral users.

Forward-Looking Statements

This press release contains “forward-looking statements”, including statements regarding our strategy to acquire enterprise customers and our anticipated future financial results. Forward-looking statements are subject to known and unknown risks and uncertainties and are based on assumptions that may prove to be incorrect, which could cause actual results to differ materially from those expected or implied by the forward-looking statements. Among the important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from those in any forward-looking statements are: our ability to grow at our expected rate of growth; our ability to add and retain larger customers and enter new geographies and markets; our ability to continue to release, and gain customer acceptance of, new and improved versions of our services; our ability to compete successfully against existing and new competitors; our ability to enter into and maintain relationships with carriers and other resellers; our ability to manage our expenses and growth; and general market, political, economic, and business conditions; as well as those risks and uncertainties included under the captions “Risk Factors” and “Management’s Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations,” in our Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2014, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission; and in other filings we make with the Securities and Exchange Commission from time to time.

All forward-looking statements in this press release are based on information available to RingCentral as of the date hereof, and we undertake no obligation to update these forward-looking statements, to review or confirm analysts’ expectations, or to provide interim reports or updates on the progress of the current financial quarter.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures

Our reported results include certain Non-GAAP financial measures, including Non-GAAP operating income (loss) and Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share. We define Non-GAAP operating income (loss) as operating income (loss) excluding share-based compensation, legal settlements and other one-time items. We define Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share as net income (loss) per share assuming all preferred stock converted into common stock at the later of the start of the period or the date of issuance.

We have included Non-GAAP operating income (loss) and Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share in this press release because they are key measures used by us to understand and evaluate our core operating performance and trends, to prepare and approve our annual budget, and to develop short and long-term operational plans. In particular, the exclusion of certain expenses in calculating Non-GAAP operating income (loss) and Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share can provide a useful measure for period-to-period comparisons of our core business.

Although Non-GAAP operating income (loss) and Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share are frequently used by investors in their evaluations of companies, these non-GAAP financial measures have limitations as analytical tools and should not be considered in isolation or as a substitute for financial information presented in accordance with GAAP. Because of these limitations, these non-GAAP financial measures should be considered alongside other financial performance measures.

We have not reconciled Non-GAAP operating income (loss) to operating income (loss) guidance or Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share to net income (loss) per share guidance because we do not provide guidance for share-based compensation expense, provision for income taxes, interest income, interest expense, and other income and expenses, which are reconciling items between Non-GAAP operating income (loss) to operating income (loss) guidance or Non-GAAP net income (loss) per share to net income (loss) per share. As items that impact net income (loss) are out of our control and/or cannot be reasonably predicted, we are unable to provide such guidance. Accordingly, reconciliation to net income (loss) is not available without unreasonable effort. For a reconciliation of historical non-GAAP financial measures to the nearest comparable GAAP measures, see the reconciliation tables included in this press release.

Our reported results also include our total annualized exit monthly recurring subscriptions, RingCentral Office annualized exit monthly recurring subscriptions, and net monthly subscription dollar retention. We define our total annualized exit monthly recurring subscriptions as our total monthly recurring subscriptions multiplied by 12. Our total monthly recurring subscriptions equals the monthly value of all customer subscriptions in effect at the end of a given month. We believe this metric is a leading indicator of our anticipated subscriptions revenue. We calculate our RingCentral Office annualized exit monthly recurring subscriptions in the same manner as we calculate our total annualized exit monthly recurring subscriptions, except that only customer subscriptions from RingCentral Office customers are included when determining monthly recurring subscriptions for the purposes of calculating this key business metric. We define Dollar Net Change as the quotient of (i) the difference of our Monthly Recurring Subscriptions at the end of a period minus our Monthly Recurring Subscriptions at the beginning of a period minus our Monthly Recurring Subscriptions at the end of the period from new customers we added during the period, (ii) all divided by the number of months in the period. We define our Average Monthly Recurring Subscriptions as the average of the Monthly Recurring Subscriptions at the beginning and end of the measurement period.

RingCentral Partners with Tecta America

Belmont, Calif. –April 21, 2015 - RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG), a leading provider of cloud business communications solutions, announced today that Tecta America, the largest commercial roofing contractor in the United States, is enabling its 50+ nationwide locations with a flexible, reliable communications system for its customers and staff by switching to RingCentral.

Tecta America is a national company with over 2500 employees. As the premier roofing contractor in the United States their offerings include installation, repair, emergency damage response, sustainability options and more. With operations from coast to coast, it was essential that Tecta America had a way to seamlessly and efficiently connect both its customers and employees.

“Our previous phone system based on an MPLS network was expensive, difficult to use, had limited mobility, and in some areas was unreliable,” said William Lang, Director of Information Technology at Tecta America. “RingCentral’s communications solution is not only easy to use, it is also infrastructure agnostic which allows us to deploy RingCentral anyway we choose.”

As Tecta America grows, RingCentral’s system will easily scale to accommodate their needs.  Setting up a new Tecta America location is simple and gives employees the freedom to choose between a desk phone, a soft phone or the RingCentral mobile app for their communications needs.  RingCentral’s user friendly features allow employees to manage settings and make changes without assistance from the IT department. Employees who beta tested RingCentral were pleased to have a system that increases productivity and helps them manage their business better.

Mobility is an essential part of Tecta America’s technology roadmap.  The RingCentral Phone enables employees to stay connected to colleagues and customers regardless of their location.  “RingCentral is helping Tecta America change the way we do business.  RingCentral is thinking ahead in terms of what they want to bring to their customers,” says Lang.  “With consistent feature and product updates, I know that our voices are being heard by the RingCentral team. I am looking forward to seeing which developments coming down the road will benefit Tecta America.”

With enhanced call encryption, RingCentral helps safeguard business communications and helps prevent unauthorized interception of audio streams.

RingCentral Opens Platform to Bring Cloud Communications To Business Applications

San Mateo, Calif. – February 25, 2015 – RingCentral Inc. (NYSE: RNG), a leading provider of cloud business communications solutions, today unveiled the RingCentral Connect Platform™, a set of tools and services to build, deploy, and manage custom integrations using RingCentral APIs. With this platform, developers can build out-of-the-box integrations with RingCentral to add powerful communication capabilities to business applications.

“This is a significant step forward because businesses want to better connect with customers – and communications is at the heart of every customer interaction,” said Vlad Shmunis, CEO, founder and chairman of RingCentral. “In the past, integrating communications into business apps has been complex and expensive. We’re breaking down the barriers that have isolated communications from business applications.”

“Integration is the next frontier in cloud communications. As providers, such as RingCentral, open up their platforms, it gives way to new possibilities that close gaps between communications and business applications, and ultimately leads to helping businesses create better customer experiences,” said Elka Popova, Unified Communications & Collaboration Analyst, Frost & Sullivan.

Example Integrations and Use Cases

RingCentral has integrated with other leading cloud enterprise applications including: Salesforce, Google for Work, Zendesk, Desk.com, Box and Dropbox.  These earlier integrations prove RingCentral’s ability to bring its world-class cloud communications solution to other software environments, and create enriched customer experiences.

Starting today, the RingCentral is opening up, making it possible for its platform to be available to an ecosystem of hundreds and thousands of developers.

A couple of new integrations are available including Zoho, which developed a powerful integration that allows 13 million customers of their CRM to leverage RingCentral capabilities without ever leaving the Zoho app. In addition, Intuit integrated RingCentral into one of their products to enhance their customer experience. These examples are some of the integrations already in production as a result of the new RingCentral Connect Platform, and there are many more underway.

“The RingCentral Connect Platform has allowed us to create a tightly integrated solution for customers who want embedded communications capabilities and analytics that can improve the user experience,” said Ian Wening, VP of Business Development at Zoho Inc. “With our leading technology and experience in cloud CRM, this partnership with RingCentral provides a valuable enhancement that helps us differentiate our core offering.”

“Great software companies today are API-first because it drives innovation,” said Sam Boonin, VP of Product and Platform Marketing at Zendesk, Inc. “Because of our open platforms, thousands of companies have already delivered great customer service with Zendesk and RingCentral.”

The RingCentral Connect Platform enables multi-modal communication, capturing communication logs, automating key business processes, streamlining user provisioning, as well as leveraging valuable business insights.  Example use cases include:

· A medical business may use an integrated app to seamlessly consolidate call recordings into its patient management system.

· A sales team may integrate voice calling into their CRM to enable sales reps to make 30 more minutes of calls per day.

· A home repair dispatch may integrate SMS to send text alerts to field repairmen to visit certain locations that need repair.

· A customer support team may integrate a screen pop to allow a customer’s account to automatically show up on an agent’s screen when that customer calls.

The end result is an unprecedented level of customization, improved workflow efficiencies, and powerful communication capabilities.

Developer Program, App Gallery and More

The RingCentral Connect Platform™ provides a suite of tools and services, including a developer portal, a rich set of self-service APIs, SDKs, sandbox environment, and tutorials. Developers can manage the full life cycle of custom applications, including tracking applications in development, and moving apps from sandbox to production. Developer support and a forum will also be available to assist developers and answer questions.

As part of the platform launch, RingCentral will also introduce a new App Gallery, a destination where customers can discover application integrations that are commercially available, and where developers can showcase their integrations.
