Can I record custom greetings? >>

Yes. Your RingCentral account provides you with several greetings for each extension to welcome, direct, and inform your callers. Greetings include a master/directory greeting and individual welcome and voicemail greetings, all of which have a default setting so you can use your account right away. You can easily change greetings by phone and through your online account, and you can record and store as many as you like in your online account (e.g., out of office greeting, vacation greeting, etc.). You can even have your greetings professionally recorded and then upload the voice files in a .wav format to your account.

How can I check my voicemail? >>

Multiple ways. You can log onto your online account and select the option that allows voicemail to be sent to your email address. From then on, when someone leaves a voicemail for you, you’ll receive it as a .wav file attachment in your email inbox. Open the file to hear the message over your computer speakers. Voicemail will also be stored or an unlimited time, for an unlimited time, up to 200 message, in your online account. All your messages will also be stored indefinitely in your Softphone inbox. You can access your online account from any Web browser.
Of course, you can also pick up your voicemail by phone by dialing your number and accessing administrator options. When you dial your RingCentral number to access your account, an auto-attendant will tell you if you have any new messages and then will play the voicemail.

Can I receive faxes with my RingCentral number? >>

Yes. All RingCentral accounts include send and receive fax capabilities. You can receive multiple faxes at once even as you’re talking on a phone. Just like voicemail, your faxes arrive into your online account, email inbox, or desktop Softphone application. In addition, you can send faxes to any fax machine in the world with a mouse click.

Can I forward voicemail to other people? >>

Yes. If you receive voicemail in an email, simply forward it to whomever you like the same way you would forward an email. You can also forward voicemail that’s stored in your online account.

How can I instantly reply to voicemail using my phone and/or computer? >>

If someone leaves a voicemail for you, you can get a text message on your cell phone alerting you to the new message. Dial into your account and listen to the message. After you listen to your message, the auto-attendant will ask you if you want to reply—if so, just press a number on your phone to automatically get connected to the caller. You can also reply to callers from your computer. All calls and faxes are logged into your online account—and all phone numbers in your account are active links. Click on the link and you’ll activate RingOut click-to-call dialing. RingOut will ring the phone you’re currently using and connect you to the person you’re trying to reach.

How many voice and fax messages can I store in my online account? >>

Your RingCentral inbox has a maximum storage limit of 100 messages (voice and fax combined). If you think that you'll receive numerous messages daily, you may configure your account so that your messages are sent to you in an email only, and not to your online account. This will eliminate the worry of having your callers receive a “mailbox full” error while attempting to leave a voice message.

How many mailboxes are included with my RingCentral number? >>

You can add up to 99 mailboxes to your account.
