Softphone™ FAQs Phone Call Management System

RC - Call Management

What is Real-Time Call Control™? >>

Real-time call control means that you can “control” a call before it reaches you. For example, a call comes in for you from a Mr. Smith. If you’re online, RingCentral Softphone will pop up on your desktop, and you’ll see Mr. Smith’s name and phone number on the Caller ID. If you’ve configured your system to prompt callers to announce their name, you’ll also hear Mr. Smith’s name over your PC speakers.

Now that you know who’s on the phone, you can decide what do with Mr. Smith as he holds. The Softphone tool presents you with clickable options: accept the call, reject it, send it to voicemail or send the caller a text message that will be broadcast to him by an auto-attendant. In addition, if you’re not near your computer, an auto-attendant will call you and present all but the last option to you by phone. Just click a button on your phone to accept the call, reject it, or send it to voicemail.
