“Number, please.”

In recent decades, switchboard operators helped companies manage their phone lines on a private branch exchange system or PBX.

But the way we work has changed profoundly since the days of the switchboard. With a mix of in-office, mobile and remote workers, most businesses still don’t have a consistent, professional way to keep employees connected with customers.

To help meet the needs of this new workforce, we’re thrilled to announce that AT&T now offers the newest version of RingCentral Office@Hand.

What does that mean? Well, for starters, it means that AT&T is now offering our complete cloud business phone system (officially branded “RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T“). It’s designed to help businesses keep both in-office and remote employees connected with customers and colleagues within one end-to-end phone system. It doesn’t matter if employees are working in multiple locations, out in the field or across the country, or if they use a mix of desk phones, smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Per Chris Hill, senior vice president of AT&T’s Advanced Business Solutions: “Employees managing business outside the office can’t afford to be offline or unavailable to customers or colleagues. They rely on AT&T to provide the type of solution that will help them succeed in this competitive environment. And RingCentral Office@Hand from AT&T addresses their need to easily and affordably manage their complete phone system without having to deal with different vendor services.”

In particular, RingCentral Office@Hand offers:

Leveraging the cloud to stay competitive is key according to Matt Davis, program director from IDC, an industry analyst group: “Small businesses are increasingly turning to cloud-based technology for a competitive edge in today’s marketplace. With employees working in multiple locations using a variety of devices, businesses need a consistent, reliable solution, such as RingCentral Office@Hand, to ensure they can connect with their customers whether in the office or on the road.”

In short, businesses that use RingCentral Office@Hand can keep employees connected to their most important contacts – customers, vendors or anyone else – from virtually anywhere. The solution also provides significant cost savings, and all that’s needed is a broadband connection. No expensive hardware or complex installation is required.
