Nonprofits are at the center of every community. They address critical issues facing the world and rely on the passion of their people and hard won support to help them achieve their mission. As part of our first RCause nonprofit grant program, we have had the incredible privilege of learning first hand about the incredible work nonprofits are doing.
Today, we are incredibly proud to announce the first recipients of the RCause public grant program.
We want to congratulate all our deserving grantees. These are organizations that have been so inspirational. It’s incredible to see their work and their impact. Whether it’s helping heal the environment or providing much needed assistance for people and animals, these organizations are truly our everyday heroes, and at RingCentral, we are so honored to give back to them.
Grantees, who were selected through a public poll, will receive grants totaling $60,000.

Chesapeake Search & Rescue Dog Association
Chesapeake Search Dogs is a fully volunteer non-profit search dog organization dedicated to ensuring that professionally trained canine search teams are available to search for lost or missing persons. They support law enforcement, fire services, natural resource authorities, and emergency management agencies 24/7 at no charge.
Eden Reforestation Projects’ global restoration network is creating livelihoods for millions of people living in extreme poverty by empowering them to restore and protect forests on a massive scale. Eden’s unique Employ to Plant methodology is to provide sustainable employment to local people to restore and protect their natural environment. By addressing the link between deforestation and extreme poverty, Eden has developed an effective model for reforestation. Its international efforts have since expanded into other continents and developing countries. Since its establishment, Eden has planted more than 583 million trees across its project nations, with approximately 20 million trees added each month.
Hunger at Home
Hunger at Home was created to connect food and goods with those in need. They partner with local convention centers, hotels, and sports stadiums to collect excess food and goods to distribute to the hungry and homeless through a robust nonprofit network. To date, Hunger at Home has donated 3.5 million meals locally and helped distribute much needed items like towels, blankets, kitchen items, and hygiene kits. Hunger at Home also helps the clients of its nonprofit partners with job training and placement in the very businesses that donate excess food.
Mission 22 supports the veteran community with three main programs; veteran treatment programs, memorials and community social impact. They provide treatment programs to veterans for Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues they might be facing. It organizes events and builds memorials to create social impact and awareness for these issues. Mission 22 serves combat veterans, those injured in training who therefore could not deploy and victims of MST. Mission 22 also has an Ambassador volunteer program for people to get involved as well. Ambassadors educate the public on veteran issues, help get veterans into Mission 22 treatment programs and create resources in their communities.
Veterans Moving Forward
Veterans Moving Forward provides service dogs and canine therapy services to veterans with physical and/or mental health challenges, at no cost to the veterans. Their services are available to any veteran of any generation, who served honorably, has physical and/or mental challenges resulting from military operations and/or accident or disease experienced during or subsequent to military service, lives in the continental United States, Hawaii or Alaska, and can benefit from a service dog.
