Spencer Schmerling needed a system that would unify his business and scale with him as his business grows. He found that RingCentral saves him lots of money, too.
Spencer, Stevens & Associates is a rapidly growing small business specializing in the recruitment of loan officers for the mortgage industry, and management and executive level employees for various industries. That growth led Spencer Schmerling, founder, to examine a more robust telephone system to support his growing business needs.
Schmerling wanted a company-wide, scalable solution that would work for his growing company of eight internal employees and five contractors. His last phone system gave him a virtual number but didn’t include any airtime or any of Ring Central's outbound capabilities. He knew he needed more. It is phenomenal. Right away, I had an idea for a new feature that would work for my business, I went to my online account, clicked ‘Feedback’ and typed in my idea. Two hours later, RingCentral’s VP of Customer Support called me and said ‘we’re working on it and until then, here’s a work around.’ It was amazing.”
Getting started was easy, Schmerling says. “I had some questions, of course. I called tech support. They were so gracious with their time and they walked me through all of my issues. I would ask one question, and from the context of the question, they showed me more along those lines that would help my business.
I was up and operating within an hour, fully functional within a day. Within a couple of hours of using it, I was completely sold. I’ll never go back to traditional services. Never!”
Schmerling initially enrolled in the RingCentral Online Business Power plan, but quickly upgraded to the Business Premium plan for the minutes and extensions it offers. He has 18 extensions operating now and will need many more soon as his business continues to grow.
