RingCentral December Release: Making Your Solution More Seamless and Powerful

The enhancements featured in our December RingCentral Office® release are a testament to our commitment to bringing you a solution that enables you to do your best work, wherever you do business. This month, we bring you improvements to the RingCentral app, flexible calling options, more intuitive reporting, and increased global availability. We’re also making it easier to set up or join meetings from the RingCentral app, Google Calendar™, and Skype™ for Business.

RingCentral app: Integrated meetings and unified presence

We’ve simplified and enhanced our solution by embedding RingCentral Meetings™ into the RingCentral mobile app. You and your team can easily host, join, and schedule video meetings without having to leave the app. Now you can call, message, and meet all in one place.

Our new updated unified presence in the RingCentral app automatically appears in red when you’re on a call or in a meeting. So now, your colleagues can immediately see if you’re unavailable.

RingCentral Connect Platform™ for Developers

The RingCentral Connect Platform™ is built open from the ground up. Our industry-standard APIs enable developers to innovate in novel ways and add value to existing products.

Calling updates: More efficient call management and consolidated reports

We’re also excited to introduce our new Analytics Portal, which consolidates multiple reports into one easy-to-use, customised interface, with more than 30 metrics and data visualisations. Greater insights lead to faster issue resolution, saving valuable time and money. If you’re an Ultimate™ edition customer, you also have access to our new Device Status Report, which lets you proactively monitor the global health of your company’s hard-phone infrastructure. This dashboard gives immediate visibility into which phones are active and which are offline, so you can quickly identify and resolve potential connectivity issues.

Another improvement to your calling capabilities is the addition of Zero Dialling for multi-site customers, which provides a more personalised experience for your customers. Now you can configure your own call flow, so callers are routed directly to a specific site operator instead of your company’s headquarters operator.

Connect Platform™: Simplifying group calls with enhanced app integrations

RingCentral is now available as a Google Calendar add-on. Easily schedule RingCentral meetings and conferences within your Google Calendar app from any device, whether you’re at home or at the office. We’re also updating RingCentral for Google and RingCentral for Skype for Business. With additional support for multi-party calls, you can now quickly initiate a conference call with up to 10 participants from each of these integrations.

Global Office®: Expanded global coverage for international businesses

We don’t take being a leader in global cloud communications lightly, which is why we’re continuously working to expand our coverage both regionally and by language. RingCentral Global Office is now available in Chile, Colombia, and Costa Rica. We now also offer Chinese language localisation in Mandarin, Cantonese, and both traditional and simplified Chinese across your desk phone, mobile app, and online accounts. Now you can seamlessly connect your business across 42 countries and communicate in 13 languages.

And that rounds up the overview of our December feature release. If you want to learn more about these updates, please visit ReleaseCentral. Should you have any ideas for a solution, support, or service improvements, please let us know in the comments below. We’d love to hear from you.
