What more can you do with the best meeting app?

We’ve designed a video conferencing service with the aim of making the best meetings app, one that helps you and your teams to collaborate every day as easily as possible. Here are just a few of the additional features that make RingCentral the best cloud-based video conferencing app.

RingCentral has task management features built in. These allow you to create a new task, assign it to a colleague and monitor progress, making it the best meeting app for line managers and collaborative teams.

Users of free version options such as Zoom, Cisco Webex or Skype often incur time limits or caps on their usage hours for their video meetings, whereas RingCentral’s free plan allows for unlimited meetings whereby colleagues can connect for as long as they want. What’s more, keeping a record of your group video meetings couldn’t be easier with a paid plan. Whether you’re delivering a training session or a planning meeting to delegate tasks to your team, call recording comes in handy. Rather than sending lengthy minutes and meeting follow-up notes, you can send the actual recording of your call so your attendees can dip in on demand. This is also an efficient way to update anyone who missed your meeting.

RingCentral’s screen-sharing feature is designed to help you and your teams to collaborate in real-time. You can quickly create an interactive meeting using the annotate feature, allowing you and your colleagues to work together to edit, amend and review documents and whiteboards live on a video call or webinar.

We’ve designed RingCentral to be an open platform meaning you can customise your own application integrations as well as choosing from hundreds of off-the-shelf integrations with key enterprise applications such as Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Salesforce, Zendesk and group chat apps such as Slack (to name a few). Fundamentally, RingCentral will sync with Google Workspace, Google Calendar and Gmail or Microsoft 365 Outlook calendars to make sure you never miss a meeting. See more apps

Participants can access a RingCentral Video conference from the desktop or mobile app or go app-free and simply join a meeting from chrome or another browser. You can also host a meeting without having to download the app to your device. Simply login via the web browser and connect face-to-face from wherever you are, on any device.

Frequently asked questions

Learn more about the RingCentral Video conferencing app

There are a number of ways in which meeting hosts can secure their RingCentral meetings. The most effective thing you can do to protect against cybercrime is to set a secure password. This helps in making sure that only those invited and those authorised can join your video conference. You can set your password at the point of scheduling your meeting via the RingCentral app.

There are a number of pro tips for hosting more secure, more collaborative meetings. Here are just a few of our top pointers to take control and optimise your meetings

  • Make your meetings more secure by implementing a ‘waiting room’. This way, you can fully oversee the admittance of your meeting participants and protect against any unwelcome cyber activity or breaches.
  • Provide the meeting link only to those you want to attend your meeting. Sharing your meetings on open platforms such as social media, for example, could make your meetings more vulnerable to cyber-attacks.
  • Make use of the screen share feature for more efficient, more collaborative meetings but keep to a ‘Host Only’ setting to make sure the meeting host has control over the content and pace of your meeting.

With RingCentral Video, users have a comprehensive, unified, and robust solution designed for modern enterprise communication. Our reliable and resilient platform is built for small teams and large enterprises alike. Users benefit from a number of conferencing features (all of which are accessible for browser and app users) that accommodate video conferences with any number of participants up to 500 attendees.

To hide yourself from a video meeting momentarily or for the duration of the meeting, simply hover over the image of yourself on the video call screen and select the ellipsis icon in the top right hand corner. Select the ‘hide myself’ option from the drop-down menu to hide yourself from other participants on the call.

If a client has a firewall blocking RingCentral, you can easily ask them to access the meeting via their browser at v.ringcentral.com.

Or for easier access, share a URL such as the below, that allows them direct access to your meeting via their browser https://v.ringcentral.com/join/MEETINGNUMBER

Using RingCentral’s Large Meetings add-on allows you to host web conferencing and video conferences for up to 500 attendees, regardless of your original pricing plan.

    • Minimum of 4 GB of memory (8 GB recommended)
