RingCentral

RingCentral uses an intelligent call forwarding system which lets users receive their calls anywhere and anytime they want to, according to their own settings. With the FindMe and FollowMe call forwarding options, callers can efficiently reach your RingCentral number. The FindMe call forwarding option works by having a call routed to a series of telephone numbers until it is answered. Users may also specify the number of rings before a call is answered. When the call is not answered, it is sent to voicemail where the caller can leave a message. The user would then receive a message notification through text and email, informing them of a new voicemail message. With the FollowMe call forwarding option, on the other hand, calls are sent directly to a single temporary number. This bypasses all existing FindMe call routing settings, making it very useful for when a temporary number is used when out of the country. The Ringcentral call forwarding system works without physical telephone lines, and is instead dependent on the connections hosted by RingCentral for the subscriber. Through the RingCentral Call Controller, users may easily configure and modify their call forwarding settings.

FindMe
Calls will be forwarded according to your preset instructions. In the Answering Rules of your online account, you select Forward my calls, then enter the telephone numbers and set the grouping and sequence of how those numbers will ring.
    For example:
  1. Ring telephone number xxx-xxx-xxx0. If no answer after two rings then...
  2. Ring telephone numbers xxx-xxx-xxx1, xxx-xxx-xxx2 and xxx-xxx-xxx3. If no answer after four rings then...
  3. Ring telephone number xxx-xxx-xxx4. If no answer after four rings then...
  4. Send to voicemail
FollowMe
When you know that you will be at one telephone number temporarily (such as a remote office) and that number is the best way to contact you, you can quickly tell your system to follow you to that number. Log in to your account, go to Call Forwarding options and enter the temporary FollowMe number. You can set up FollowMe from your phone, online account or Call Controller.
