RingCentral Sales Engineer - Reseller Channel Sales

Job Description:

We are looking for a driven and energetic Sales Engineer to join the fast-growing RingCentral team. The Sales Engineer is a dynamic industry and technical expert, providing input to the prospecting, sales, and implementation processes. The RingCentral Sales Engineer assists field sales teams, deliver product presentations, implementations, and training programs.

You’ll become the resident expert on RingCentral services and applications with strong working knowledge of our hosted VoIP platform, product features, and IP hardware. The ability to assist new customers through the setup process, resolve technical issues and provide expert insight will be critical. You’ll also develop skills as a technical consultant, a product advocate, and customer success champion.

The Sales Engineer will have a focus on our reseller channel program and assist with sales and presentation events, providing field support for sales teams, VARs, and deliver training programs.

Responsiblities:

• Understand partner’s business and enable RingCentral’s service in a sell-through sales model
• Assist with onboarding of resellers and master distributors to the reseller channel
• Present advanced technical concepts through demonstrations, product overviews, and sales presentations
• Develop advanced system configurations and implementations in response to customer needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products
• Deliver sales and training programs to partners, resellers, and clients
• Develop relationships with customers, sales and support teams, become a product and customer advocate, and provide world class technical support
• Participate in the creation of training materials, technical documents, and product feedback
• Representation at conferences, industry, and sales events as needed
• Heavy travel will be required

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of SE/technical support /channel experience in telecom industry
• Excellent presentation abilities, able to deliver product and value proposition to resellers and distributors
• Experience working with Small Business and IT organizations preferred
• Proven experience in technology space: cloud, PBX, VoIP, SIP, or telecom in a SE/ technical support role is preferred
• Advanced understanding of networking protocols, standards, and hardware such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewalls and router configurations
• Ability to identify different technologies and provide solutions as it relates to RingCentral VoIP service
• Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, and network connectivity problems in multi-platform, multi-protocol environments in installation of RingCentral VoIP service
• Ability to excel in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service orientation, face-to-face and phone support to remote users
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others
• Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done
• Relevant industry training and/or certifications including but not limited to Network+, CCNA, CCNP
• Bachelor’s degree in C.S. or a combination of education and relevant experience
