What is RingCentral Mobile? RingCentral Mobile is an iPhone application that provides access to your RingCentral voicemails and faxes. It also allows you to use your RingCentral number as your caller ID when you make business calls from your iPhone. Back to topDo I need a RingCentral account? Yes, RingCentral will only work with an existing RingCentral account. Back to topHow do I get RC Mobile? RingCentral Mobile is available for free on the iTunes app store. Click here You may also download RingCentral Mobile directly from your iPhone App Store under the Business category. Back to topHow much does RC Mobile cost? RC Mobile is free. However, making RingOut calls from your iPhone uses your RingCentral minutes. Also, inbound and outbound calls count toward your wireless plan minutes. Back to topIs RingCentral Mobile available for other platforms besides the iPhone? Currently, RingCentral is only available for the iPhone. Back to topHow do I log in to my account? You will be prompted to enter your RingCentral number and password when RC Mobile is launched for the first time. Once you have successfully logged into your account, you will be able begin using RC Mobile. Back to topHow do I make a RingOut call? There are several different ways that a RingOut call can be made using RC Mobile:
What is RingOut Mode? RingOut Mode allows you to take a call directly from your iPhone or from another location. If you choose to take the call directly from your iPhone, RC Mobile will place a call to your RingCentral number, where the RingCentral servers will immediately answer and connect you to the caller you are trying to contact. (Note, that your iPhone’s call log will indicate that your RingCentral number was dialed instead of the caller you are trying to contact. However, your RC Mobile and RingCentral account call logs will display the calls correctly.) If you choose to take calls from a different location, RC Mobile will place a call to the location you select. When you answer the call, RingCentral servers will connect you to the caller you are trying to reach. (Use this option if you have poor reception where you are located or if you prefer to take call on a regular landline phone.) The locations you may choose from are based on your RingCentral Forwarding Numbers. If you would like to select additional numbers, please add the number to your Forwarding Numbers list. Back to topHow do I add a speed dial (Favorites) contact? To add a number to your Favorites list, go to the Favorites tab within RC Mobile and select the “+” button on the top right. This will bring up your contact list. Simply select the contact you would like to add and choose the number (work, home, mobile, etc.) that you would like to create as a speed dial. Back to topHow do I view my call log? Your call log is viewable by selecting the Recents tab within RC Mobile. If a number is contained within your Contacts list, the name of that contact shall appear instead of the actual number. (Note: only RingOut calls made directly from RingCentral Mobile are logged in Recents) Back to topHow do I retrieve my voicemail and fax messages? Voicemail and fax messages are directly accessible from RC Mobile. When you launch RC Mobile, messages are automatically downloaded to your iPhone and stored in the Messages tab. Within the Messages tab you are able to view when a message was received, the sender’s name or phone number, the length of the message, and the message type (fax or voicemail). Selecting a message will allow you to play the audio voicemail or view the fax document. Back to topHow do I retrieve my voicemail and fax messages for a different extension? To retrieve messages for a different extension, you must re-log into RC Mobile using the specific extension you wish to access. To login with a different extension or account, select the Home tab from within the application and select the Login button (Home > Login). Enter the extension or phone number and password you would like to access into the respective fields and select the Save button. When successful, RC Mobile will immediately return you to the Home tab. Back to topHow do I forward a voicemail or fax message? To forward a voicemail or fax message, go to the Message tab within RC Mobile and select the arrow button next to the message. The contact details screen will appear; on top of this screen will be a Forward option. Select the option and enter the email address where you would like the message to be forward to, and then press Send. Back to topCan I sort my messages? Yes, you may sort your message by sender or by date. To sort you messages, select the Sender|Date button on the top of your Messages screen to sort your messages. Back to topIs it possible to have a message marked as unopened even after I’ve viewed it? Yes, it is possible to change whether a message is marked as Opened or Unopened. To do so, simply select the arrow button next to the message. The contact details screen will appear; on top of this screen will be an option to “Mark Opened/Unopened”. Select the option to change message between Opened and Unopened. Back to topCan I make international calls? Yes, you can make international RingOut calls if the option is enabled on your RingCentral account. Please check your account configuration to ensure that the option is enabled for the destination you would like to call. Back to topWhat can I do with RC Mobile when the application is offline? You may access voicemail and fax messages (previously downloaded to the app) in offline mode. You are also able to view and edit your Favorites and Recents list when the application is offline.
