In celebration of this observance, we sat down with Briana Rogers, a Professional Services Program Manager, to explore how she embodies the 2025 theme: &#8220;Thrive, Flourish, and Grow.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>A Reflection of Black History Month<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black History Month traces its origins to 1926 when scholar and historian Carter G. Woodson set out to promote and educate people about Black history and culture. His dedication laid the foundation for what would later become a nationally recognized observance. Today, this month honors the rich history of African Americans while providing an opportunity for reflection, education, and celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Briana, Black History Month is deeply personal. \u201cBlack History Month means celebrating and recognizing our roots. They may be both painful and joyous, but together, they empower us to face a bright future, enriched with lessons from the past.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Thriving, Flourishing, and Growing<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, BE@R is embracing the theme: &#8220;Thrive, Flourish, and Grow!&#8221;\u2014a tribute to the resilience and excellence of the Black community. We asked Briana what this theme means to her, and she shared: \u201cTo me, growth requires being a lifelong learner. Flourishing comes from understanding yourself, being comfortable in your own skin, and embracing who you are\u2014mind, body, and soul. Thriving means pushing yourself to grow and flourish, continuously moving forward, acquiring new skills, tackling challenges, and building meaningful relationships.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Breaking Barriers and Stereotypes\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of RingCentral\u2019s 2025 Black History Month programming, Briana led a wellness session focused on the importance of holistic well-being in achieving personal and professional success. \u201cWe need to prioritize wellness consistently to truly thrive, flourish, and grow,\u201d Briana emphasized. \u201cIt\u2019s not just about managing stress\u2014it\u2019s about creating the happy, well-balanced life that is meant for all of us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the session, she shared her journey as a triathlete and highlighted the importance of breaking stereotypes. One misconception she has consistently challenged is the belief that \u2018Black people can&#8217;t swim.\u2019 However, encouraged by her mother\u2019s unwavering support, Briana embraced a mindset that she could accomplish anything. That belief has propelled her to swim, ski, complete multiple warrior dashes and Spartan races, skydive, and even bungee jump.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through her experiences, Briana has inspired others to defy societal limitations, embrace new opportunities, and take charge of their well-being. Briana demonstrates that true wellness extends beyond physical health\u2014it\u2019s about having the confidence to push boundaries and create a life of endless possibilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>2025 Black History Month Programming<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year\u2019s Black History Month programming is designed to empower the BE@R community and allies. The sessions will focus on wellness, innovation, and social justice, along with our beloved House Party Fridays\u2014a celebration of Black music\u2019s global impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Event Highlights:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>2\/10 &#8211; Wellness Session<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Briana Rogers and Tasia Bromell<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>2\/18 &#8211; Innovation Session<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Jessica Robinson and Kelly Malone<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>2\/26 &#8211; Social Justice Session<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Ryan Haygood<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fridays &#8211; House Party Friday<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> featuring DJ E-TRANE (Elliott Broadnax)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m incredibly proud of BE@R and the impact it has had at RingCentral,\u201d Briana shared. \u201cFrom the Black Gold Leadership Speaker Series to focus groups and our high-energy DJ events, BE@R fosters community and empowerment.
