In fact, the International Legal Technology Association&#8217;s (ILTA) 2024 survey found that \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/legaltechnews\/2024\/10\/03\/5-things-we-found-interesting-from-the-2024-ilta-tech-survey\/?slreturn=20241212113131\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">more law firms are gradually welcoming<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> technology, such as generative artificial intelligence tools, Microsoft Teams and Cloud storage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But although this shift will bring benefits for productivity, efficiency, and both the client and attorney experience, there are some important considerations that practices should take into account.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h3 h2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5 considerations for secure cloud adoption in law firms<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firms that are moving to the cloud should discuss five key topics with their solutions or technology partners as they narrow down their selection:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"heading h2 h3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a id=\"vendor\"><\/a>1) Vendor selection<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you create a shortlist of cloud solution providers, have a clear vendor selection process\u2014what security credentials should they have? Do they have a track record of happy customers in the legal industry?
