If you haven\u2019t updated the app for over seven months, it\u2019s considered <\/span><b>unsupported <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and you\u2019ll be required to update to a newer version to continue accessing the desktop app. If you lose access to the desktop app, you can still use the web app, which is automatically updated to the most recent version.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"heading h3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For admins<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A banner notification will appear in the top menu bar of the desktop app informing you when an update is available for your company. Once you see the banner, not only do you need to update your RingCentral desktop app before it becomes unsupported, but you should also install the update for your users to avoid losing access. Users who don\u2019t require IT Admin assistance updating will begin to see notifications as soon as they are outdated. You can update by clicking \u201cUpdate now\u201d on the banner or \u201cCheck for updates\u201d from the profile icon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users who require IT Admin assistance updating will begin to see notifications 15 days before they are considered unsupported. Reach out to your company IT admin as soon as possible to install the latest version of the desktop app.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 easy steps to update the RingCentral app for your org<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55676\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/AppVersionReport1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1338\" height=\"1026\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"heading h3\">1.
