Well, you start by asking Alvin and the Talent Acquisition team. \u201cIt\u2019s it&#8217;s a great honor to win an award from an industry leader like HRO Today,\u201d says Lam,\u00a0 \u201cbut the truth is, Talent Acquisition is a team sport, so the fact that the entire team has been honored as the Best TA Team of the Year &#8211; that&#8217;s what makes me really proud.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Don\u2019t hire robots. Hire <\/b><b><i>with<\/i><\/b><b> robots.<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s no other way to say it: RingCentral\u2019s TA team <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">crushed<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> it in 2021\u2014hiring more than 3,600 people to bring our total employee population to over 9,000. A big part of that was the TA team\u2019s efforts to streamline the hiring process, reducing time-to-fill by over 35%.\u00a0 But a jump in headcount just has to lead to a drop in quality, right? Wrong.\u00a0 Alvin and the TA team added state-of-the-art artificial intelligence to the hiring process, and found that the team not only sourced better-qualified applicants but raised the overall quality of the applicant pool. Even better, diverse hires led the way with a 5% increase year-over-year.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Stack the hardware<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A great culture is also a great selling point. But it takes work to take home the trophies, and the TA team was up to the task &#8211; winning 30+ \u201cBest Place to Work\u201d -awards in 2021, including a #1 ranking as Best Company for Diversity (Comparably), a Great Places to Work award for Greater China and a global Best Places to Work award from Glassdoor. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employee engagement, as assessed by Medallia, was at an all-time high in 2021 and employee retention held firm even during the Great Resignation due to high employee morale and a reputation for a great company work culture. Strengthening our culture while growing the company 30% is an incredible feat. We\u2019re proud of Alvin and the TA team \u2014 making\u00a0 HRO\u2019s Finalists list is a real honor.
