What\u2019s different about this place? Why and how does RingCentral\u2019s particular approach to diversity advance the company&#8217;s mission?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Beginning the journey<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every week this month, BE@R is sharing segments of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/08\/22\/podcasts\/1619-trailer.html?action=click&amp;module=audio-series-bar&amp;region=header&amp;pgtype=Article\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 1619 Project<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and leading discussions about it. This award-winning project shines a light on hard moments of our shared past, and remains a center of controversy in the public sphere. The discussions these episodes spark can be difficult, but they follow the company\u2019s mission almost to the letter: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">breaking down barriers to help people work as one<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 1619 Project<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the only thing BE@R focused on, it would be a powerful and worthwhile Black History Month endeavor. But there\u2019s much more to the journey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c\u2026having a consistent conversation about the past and the future (helps us) find ways to be able to live in the present while continuing to push the future along.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Jace Henderson, Mid-Market Expansion Account Executive, Denver, CO<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading h2\"><b>Black And \u2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is much more to Black identity than race. BE@R\u2019s \u201cBlack And\u2026\u201d series is focusing on everyday challenges people face regarding issues like age, sexuality, physical disability, mental health and more &#8211; in the context of the Black experience. It\u2019s a fascinating, important discussion both within and without the Black community, and one every member of the RingCentral family is encouraged to participate in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s nice to see we\u2019re working toward including a broader segment of Black community in these conversations. I feel like we have finally begun to include Black women and the LGBTQ+ community.
