Instructors who are accustomed to teaching face-to-face must adjust to these circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They must prepare a syllabus and set clear expectations for the course. Moreover, instructors should still offer office hours (even if they\u2019re virtual). For every class, instructors must arrive on time to set a good example for their students; if educators don\u2019t show that they\u2019re taking this seriously, neither will students.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3. Remember that practice makes perfect<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you feel uncomfortable with teaching online, practice using the virtual learning platform before your first class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Play around with the features (especially with the video conferencing tools, as you\u2019ll be using them quite a bit).
