When our RingCentral Xiamen office found itself at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone acted quickly and decisively – using the technology we\u2019re famous for to seamlessly shift to remote work, and using the culture we\u2019re famous for to ensure every employee is cared for, in body, mind and spirit. The entire office shifted to remote work, and sent anti-epidemic materials directly to employees\u2019 homes. In October 2020, the company officially announced a long-term remote working policy to employees, as well as remote interviewing and onboarding processes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Putting the health of our employees first isn\u2019t new to RingCentral. But it\u2019s nice to see the media taking notice, as HR Asia recently awarded RingCentral Xiamen their second consecutive \u201cBest Places To Work\u201d in Asia -award. To be considered, RingCentral Xiamen participated in the Total Engagement Assessment Model\u2122 (TEAM) report\u2014one of the largest employee engagement surveys in Asia. An independent panel of judges studied every aspect of our corporate culture: management objectives, employee participation levels and in-depth studies of real employee feedback. Since the TEAM research report was first published in 2013, it has collected data covering more than 2 million respondents in all major Asian countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The TEAM evaluators found RingCentral Xiamen\u2019s performance to be particularly strong in three major areas: Flexible Hours\/Location, Willingness To Recommend the Company to Others and Encourages Employees to Express Their Opinions.<\/span> Marc Chan, VP, General Manager of China<\/span>, believes the company\u2019s culture is proving itself to be a serious competitive advantage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is crucial for us to know our employees are able to maintain work-life balance and their sense of happiness. Marc believes the HR Asia award is particularly significant in terms of the difficult environment 2020 has put us all in. <\/span>
