What is Giving Tuesday?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n #GivingTuesday at RingCentral<\/b><\/p>\n Traditionally, Giving Tuesday supported generosity in the form of charitable donations and giving. This year, though, we\u2019re encouraging our employees to show their generosity in a variety of ways during GivingTuesday–whether it\u2019s <\/span>cleaning up a nearby park or beach<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> helping a neighbor, <\/span>donating to a holiday wishlist for foster youth<\/span><\/a>, advocating for an issue, or giving to causes; every act of generosity counts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Although it\u2019s been a challenging year, RingCentral employees have continued to give back and support local and global communities. In fact, thanks to virtual volunteering opportunities and added flexibility with supporting nonprofits, our volunteering hours have increased by <\/span>over 500% from last year<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
