October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). It\u2019s a time we use to put special emphasis on recognizing the efforts RingCentral employees make to reaffirm our commitment to equal opportunity for all.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For RingCentral, providing our employees with the ability to maximize their potential isn\u2019t a special event. It\u2019s a goal we pursue every day. So, how is RingCentral staying ahead of the curve? By receiving critical input from the company\u2019s own Special Needs Support Employee Resource Group (ERG), a powerful resource for building community, broadening perspectives and expanding opportunity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RingCentral considers ERGs an essential element of the company\u2019s culture\u2014and success. Women, Black employees and other constituencies use ERGs as a grassroots resource for strategizing and executing programs and policies that strengthen RingCentral\u2019s culture of innovation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The work of the Special Needs Employees Resource Group not only provides support for employees, but serves as a critical resource for parents, siblings, allies and caretakers of individuals with varying needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RingCentral Legal team\u2019s Lauren Troche is a mother of a special needs child and one of the founders of the group. According to Troche, the company\u2019s support of the ERG is a win-win. \u201cSupporting this employee resource group tells the world that RingCentral offers special needs employees, their families and allies a higher level of acceptance and flexibility. It puts us in the \u201cemployer of choice\u201d category for recruiting a wider range of candidates\u00a0 – people with amazing qualifications who may not have otherwise considered RingCentral can now move us up on their list.
