Although this app is intended for gamers, its built-in features allow you to download screen recordings as well.<\/p>\n<p>First thing\u2019s first: find a webinar and then open OBS Studio. This setup is a bit easier if you have a dual monitor display, but you don\u2019t necessarily need that. And that\u2019s that!<\/p>\n<p>The obvious upside to this method is that you don\u2019t have to worry about weird embedded file types that other video downloader tools can\u2019t (or won\u2019t) detect. Rather than fight with downloader tools or extensions, recording your desktop directly is basically fool-proof.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few disadvantages, though. The biggest is that screen recording isn\u2019t exactly time-efficient.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, if you\u2019re watching a webinar for the first time, then simply running a recording alongside your first viewing is easy enough.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you\u2019ve already sat through the presentation, this might be a bit tedious.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, you can always just walk away and let the recording play. The obvious advantage of being able to download a YouTube video directly is that it can be done quickly without having to watch the entire thing yourself.<\/p>\n<p>For this guide, we\u2019ll be using 4K Downloader. There are some copy-and-paste browser tools available, but many of them are riddled with pop-ups and malware, so watch out.<\/p>\n<p>The principle of 4K Downloader is simple: copy-and-paste the URL of your webinar replay from YouTube, select your file type, and download.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what the process looks like. First, open up your webinar on YouTube and copy the URL:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-44340\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/4k-downloaded-for-webinar-recordings-1024x777.png\" alt=\"4k downloader for webinar recordings\" width=\"1024\" height=\"777\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you open 4K Downloader, you\u2019ll be prompted to paste your link. Unless you\u2019re watching webinar replays all day and every day, you\u2019ll likely never reach that limit.<\/p>\n<h3>Option #4: Use in-browser \u201cDeveloper Tools\u201d to download webinar replays<\/h3>\n<p>Can you save a webinar directly from your browser <i>without <\/i>any third-party tools?<\/p>\n<p>The short answer: yes, sometimes.<\/p>\n<p>Most webinar tools and providers purposely embed their videos in a way that they can\u2019t be downloaded.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is possible to download some webinar replays without any apps. We saved this option for last because it is perhaps the least reliable these days.<\/p>\n<p>For this example, we\u2019ll be using \u201cDeveloper Tools\u201d in Google Chrome. Make sure you\u2019ve temporarily disabled any ad-blocking software before trying this method.<\/p>\n<p>First, go ahead and open a URL with an embedded webinar:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-44344\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/using-chrome-to-download-a-webinar-replay-1024x492.png\" alt=\"using chrome to download a webinar replay\" width=\"1024\" height=\"492\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then, use the \u201cF12\u201d key to open up Developer Tools on the right-hand side of your screen:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-44345\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/developer-tools-in-google-chrome-1024x486.png\" alt=\"developer tools in google chrome\" width=\"1024\" height=\"486\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From here, select the \u201cMedia\u201d tab. This will allow you to see any and all embedded media files on any given page. Simply open the video file in a new tab, which should then autoplay your webinar replay.
