Over the past several weeks, I\u2019ve spent some time talking to small businesses in my community and across the country. They\u2019re struggling right now. But even in these unprecedented moments, I am hopeful as I witness people truly pulling together and supporting one another through this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let me share an uplifting story about a community in Canada that\u2019s helping its most vulnerable residents weather this storm.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the small town of Halton Hills, just outside Toronto, a group of citizens has set up a phone hotline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s special about this hotline, you ask? It connects at-risk residents\u2014mostly seniors who are self-quarantining\u2014with locals who want to help by bringing them groceries, medicine, and other essentials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These Halton Hills volunteers didn\u2019t have funding to get their community hotline up and running. So, they took advantage of RingCentral\u2019s offer: <\/span>three months of free phone service for organizations providing essential services <\/strong>during this pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n
