A number of offices have been shut down. The incident drew criticism from local health authorities and workers\u2019 union SNCC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slate, a popular online magazine, published a diary written by a Charter Communications call center employee. The piece alleges that hundreds of agents are fearful for their health as they sit in tightly packed, open-air cubicles with limited remote work options. A Walmart employee in Illinois has<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/04\/06\/coronavirus-walmart-employees-family-files-wrongful-death-lawsuit.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">died<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from complications of COVID-19. His family then filed a wrongful death lawsuit, alleging that the retailer knew about the man\u2019s symptoms and ignored them. The company said that it has increased safety measures across stores to keep customers and employees safe.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Many industries experience a spike in customer calls<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Failing to provide exceptional service can also have dire consequences.
