Businesses are fed up with old-school on-premise phone systems’ limitations. But cloud phone services offer features that on-prem systems can’t – at attractive prices, to boot.<\/p>\n

RingCentral recently worked with Dimensional Research, an independent research firm, to poll about 300 corporate IT decision-makers. Among the survey respondents who are using a private branch exchange (PBX) phone system, fully seven in 10 said their PBX is creating “challenges” to doing business.<\/p>\n

What specific features are lacking in PBXs? A little less than a quarter of PBX users said their phones are too hard to manage. The same percentage noted that they can’t integrate their business phone system<\/a> with other platforms (like a customer relationship management application). Twenty-two percent find their PBX’s mobility options lacking. And a third are unhappy with how much they’re paying.<\/p>\n

The good news for IT buyers? These areas are where cloud phone systems shine<\/strong>. The people who responded to Dimensional Research’s survey find the following cloud phone benefits especially compelling:<\/p>\n
