If so, the <em><b>Unconditional Forwarding<\/b><\/em> feature may be just what you\u2019re looking for. Here&#8217;s how to access it.<\/p>\n<p>In the RingCentral online interface:<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Settings &gt; My Settings<br \/>\n&gt; Call Handling &amp; Forwarding<br \/>\n&gt; Advanced<br \/>\n&gt; Add Rule<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll use the name, \u201cRing My Phone Directly\u201d to give our sample custom rule a descriptive ring to it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10776\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/ring-my-phone-directly.png\" alt=\"ring my phone directly\" width=\"507\" height=\"403\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Follow the prompts until you get to step 3, &#8220;<strong>Define Call Handling<\/strong>&#8220;.<br \/>\n&gt; Click <strong>Unconditional Forwarding<\/strong><br \/>\n&gt; Enter your <strong>forwarding number<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10778\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/unconditional-forwarding.png\" alt=\"unconditional forwarding\" width=\"430\" height=\"397\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Done<\/p>\n<p>With that set up, your calls will ring straight to the \u00a0forwarding number in\u00a0your custom rule, connecting callers directly to you.<\/p>\n<p>When used with regular phones, unconditional forwarding will either take an unanswered call to a third-party voice mailbox or, in the absence of a third party voicemail, give the caller a busy tone.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note that if you use your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ringcentral.com\/what-is-a-voip-phone.html\">IP phone<\/a> as a forwarding number on this rule, failing to answer will not take the caller to voicemail; instead, the caller will only hear a busy tone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Taking it to the Account Level<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re the administrator on your RingCentral account, you may also have your callers skip the company greeting entirely so that when your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ringcentral.com\/business-phone-numbers.html\">business phone number<\/a> is called, the callers hear only ringing and get connected directly to a forwarding number.<\/p>\n<p>Once logged in as administrator in the RingCentral online interface:<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Settings &gt; Phone System<br \/>\n&gt; Auto-Receptionist<br \/>\n&gt; Greeting &amp; Company Calls<br \/>\n&gt; Advanced<br \/>\n&gt; Add Rule<br \/>\n&gt; Follow the prompts until you get to step 3, Define Call Handling<br \/>\n&gt; Click &#8220;Connect directly to an extension&#8221;<br \/>\n&gt; Click the extension that has Unconditional Forwarding enabled on it<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10780\" src=\"\/us\/en\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/choosing-an-extension.png\" alt=\"choosing an extension\" width=\"432\" height=\"228\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&gt; Done<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that Unconditional Forwarding will disable the usual features on the extension and that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">custom rules override business-hours and after-hours rules<\/span>.
