Today’s workplace is filled with countless tools that promise to save time and increase productivity. There are apps for voice calls, text, web meetings, video conferencing, team messaging, and more.

The more apps there are, the more frustrated workers seem to become. In our recent study, From Workplace Chaos to Zen, more than two-thirds of respondents said they waste up to 60 minutes at work navigating between apps. In fact, many find it so frustrating that they said they’d rather do household chores or pay bills than deal with this app madness.

In our study, 66 percent of workers said a single platform that integrates all of their communications into a single, unified solution would help them improve workflows and increase productivity.

A unified experience

We agree, and that’s why we’ve rethought how our customers can communicate, collaborate, and connect. Our September release combines messaging, calling, and meetings into one unified experience with the new RingCentral app.

At the heart of this experience is messaging, which is rapidly becoming the preferred method of communication, especially amongst workers 18-44 years old. By uniting messaging with other modes of communication it’s now easier to work with colleagues no matter where they are and no matter what devices they are using. With the new RingCentral app you can:

Enhanced meetings experience

Not only have we integrated the meeting experience directly into the app, but you can now join any RingCentral meeting straight from a web browser, without having to download software.

Additionally, we’ve made it easier for you to configure your meetings exactly the way you want, for both the company admin and the user. This includes options for things like automatic muting, default video on/off, and invite customization. Phone calls and online meetings will also now share a single, consistent, unified presence, correctly showing when you are busy, no matter what you’re doing or what device you’re using, ensuring you won’t be interrupted unnecessarily.

Increased availability and capabilities

An integrated softphone allows you to communicate with teams globally with just a click of a button, unifying your entire global workforce under one secure communications platform. RingCentral Global Office allows you to activate international numbers instantly in up to 39 countries, now including Hungary and Croatia.

The ability to monitor changes made to the phone system becomes more important as your company scales. With the addition of Audit Trail, you can easily troubleshoot issues without having to get help from Support.

These are just a few of the many new features available to our RingCentral Office customers today. Visit ReleaseCentral to see all updates, along with our Release Webinar and Release Notes.
