bt hero 3 At RingCentral, we like to think we’re ahead of the curve when it comes to technology for this new world of work, so it’s with pleasure that we are announcing we have partnered with BT to offer the new BT Cloud Phone to UK customers available today.

The BT Cloud Phone offers customers integrated voice, web meetings and HD video conferencing, and fax, accessible from smartphones, tablets, desk phones and PCs to enable businesses and employees the flexibility they require in today’s ‘always on’ working environment. With our technology, BT Business customers will benefit from improved flexibility and productivity as business users gain the freedom to remain connected while away from the office with a single, integrated telephone number. They will also achieve cost and time savings with limited upfront costs, and an easy to deploy solution with seamless upgrades.

The BT Cloud Phone, powered by RingCentral technology, will provide businesses of all sizes with a professional business identity that they can easily manage across multiple office locations with the ability to route calls, manage directory listings and create an auto receptionist.

As businesses look to technology to help them increase their productivity, enhance flexibility, and control costs, BT is seeing IP and cloud based communications really take off. The BT Cloud Phone adds to BT’s already comprehensive IP voice portfolio, and demonstrates its commitment to meeting the full spectrum of communications needs of businesses in the UK.

Why does communications in the cloud make sense? The working environment has changed drastically in recent years. Workforces are typically dispersed across multiple locations, with workers constantly on the move. In fact, our RingCentral research revealed we are now much more open to working outside of the office, with 93% working from home for part of the week and 76% working while travelling. Customers now expect to receive responses from businesses within three hours and as a result, a third of UK workers now work over 10 hours a day to meet these expectations.

e We’re privileged to help BT and provide a turn-key solution that required them to undertake very little upfront development and integration. We look forward to helping BT go to market with the BT Cloud Phone and we look forward to delivering exceptional products, support and service to BT and its customers.

As of today, the BT Cloud Phone will be available through BT Local Business, its network of independent BT businesses across the UK, and through BT Business Sales, its dedicated telesales call centers. The RingCentral solution is also available as a stand-alone service.  To learn more about the RingCentral Office solution that combines voice, web conferencing and HD video meetings, and fax into a single, unified platform in the cloud, visit www.ringcentral.co.uk.
