Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2016: Digital Transformation Delivers Deeper Engagement

unknownLast week RingCentral representatives presented and exhibited at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando, Florida. This year Gartner focused its symposium tracks on digital transformation, experiences, and engagement that are part of today’s “Digital Platform Revolution.”

A telling statistic that Gartner shared in its “Crystal ball predictions for 2017 and beyond” was that global information technology spending is expected to hit $3.5 trillion in 2017, up 2.9 percent from 2016, with a notable surge in IT spending driven by software and services. Software spending will be up 6 percent in 2016 and accelerate to growth of 7.2 percent in 2017. The increase in SaaS investments validates that enterprises have fully embraced moving key apps and mission-critical solutions into the cloud to create great efficiencies, improve user experience, and minimize IT deployment and maintenance resources.

RingCentral demonstrated how cloud communications improve engagement and support business transformation for mobile workforces in growing enterprises.
