For the past five years, Meaghan has immersed herself in social media and mobile marketing. In 2007, she began documenting her personal battle with cancer via her blog, I Kicked Cancer’s Ass. Within six months of her first post, Meaghan founded the nonprofit organization Spirit Jump, a grassroots nonprofit organization with a mission to provide hope and comfort to the many men, women and children battling cancer. Through the strategic use of social media, she was able to reach thousands of cancer fighters, survivors and supporters.
Meaghan took on various freelance and in-house marketing jobs until she was hired as an event producer for the Global Strategic Management Institute (GSMI), responsible for producing executive-level social media, mobile and legal summits. In addition, she oversaw GSMI’s social marketing efforts as the organization’s vice president of social media. In addition to her social strategizing and event production, Meaghan is a professional speaker.
