It’s no secret that San Francisco is a hub of innovation. But the City by the Bay is also home to dramatic vistas, an eclectic group of communities, and some of the finest restaurants, craft cocktail bars, and wineries in the world. These all combine to create memorable experiences for locals and visitors alike any time of year.
This week, ConnectCentral 2018 attendees will descend on the city for three days of inspiration, learning, and networking at the industry’s premier cloud communications conference. We realize you probably don’t have much time to map out a list of places to visit while you’re in San Francisco, so here are a few of our recommendations to help you get the most out of your stay.
Restaurants & Bars
ConnectCentral attendees will enjoy complimentary lunch every day, as well as dinner on Tuesday. But with our thriving food scene, San Francisco has you more than covered for everything else.
If you’re looking for a unique spin on classic breakfast fare, try Dottie’s True Blue Cafe, a local institution that has fed hungry San Franciscans for over 20 years. (Note: Dottie’s is closed on Wednesdays, so make sure to stop by on the first two days of the conference.)
For dinner, you can choose from all sorts of cuisines. There’s Farmerbrown to feed your soul-food cravings, Tratto for a fresh take on rustic Italian classics, and Izakaya Yoki, a cozy spot serving modern Japanese cuisine.
Once the events of each day wind down, you can explore San Francisco’s vibrant nightlife. Head to Benjamin Cooper for great cocktails and oysters just steps from the conference venue, or check out Pacific Cocktail Haven, a trendy spot for unique cocktails.
Sights & Attractions
San Francisco has no shortage of options when it comes to sightseeing. From the hotel, it’s a short walk to the Embarcadero, where you can visit the Ferry Building Marketplace, a San Francisco landmark featuring a wide range of restaurants and wine bars as well as sublime views of the bay.
Additionally, whether this is your first visit or tenth, there is nothing more San Francisco than taking a ride on the cable car, a $7 (cash only) experience you won’t want to miss. (Insider tip: Skip the long lines on Powell Street and hop right on at Market and Drumm, in front of the Hyatt Regency.)
We hope you have a great time in San Francisco while here for ConnectCentral 2018. Reach out to our Concierge team for more recommendations and local tips.
