Setting up your desktop app

Downloading your free desktop phone app for all your VoIP business communications needs is easy and pain-free.

Follow the steps below on how to use the RingCentral Desktop App:

  • Log into your RingCentral account
  • Click ‘Tools’ then select ‘Desktop apps’ in the drop-down menu
  • Select either the RingCentral Windows app or the RingCentral phone app for Mac
  • Run through the simple install wizard 
  • On your desktop click the RingCentral logo and log in using the same credentials
  • Log into your RingCentral account
  • Click ‘Tools’ then select ‘Desktop apps’ in the drop-down menu

FAQs on the RingCentral desktop app

To add a contact to your directory, simply select the plus button (+) in the top right-hand corner of your contacts list screen. This allows you to add a new contact by entering the necessary contact details.

RingCentral Meetings is a cloud-based video conferencing platform that allows its users to meet and collaborate from any device.

RingCentral Meetings offers video meetings and screen sharing for up to 100 participants. The free version of the app allows sessions which are limited to 40 minutes

To share a file when you’re on a meeting using the RingCentral desktop app, simply click the ‘Share’ button which you’ll find either in the centre of the screen or via the green button at the bottom of the screen.

RingCentral Video allows you to quickly share your screen with other video call participants with one simple click.

To share your screen using RingCentral Video on your desktop, simply select the ‘Share Screen’ button in the meeting controls. You can then choose to share your entire screen, a specific application, or a browser tab. Once you have chosen and selected one of the options, click ‘Share’.

The RingCentral G Suite Add-on simplifies communication within Gmail and Calendar. The RingCentral G Suite Add-On now works seamlessly with RingCentral Video, allowing you to access RingCentral Video directly within your Google Calendar invites or configure your meeting settings within your Google Calendar invite.
