We are listening to our customers and their concerns about data handling and data transfers as well as the changing regulatory landscape with GDPR, Schrems, Schrems II and the subsequent European Data Protection Board (EDPB)\u2019s recommendations on supplementary measures. This means protecting data, keeping it in Europe, limiting access to only in-Europe personnel where possible and retaining the data for the time needed, and not more.<\/p>\n<p>We are proud of our existing practices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Confidentiality of communications<\/b>: RingCentral encrypts communications over public networks and has strong practices in place to prevent any unauthorised access to customer content. We have never used the content of communications for our own purposes.<\/li>\n<li><b>Security of networks and services:\u00a0<\/b>RingCentral takes appropriate measures to safeguard the security of its service and regularly submits to externally-led audits.<\/li>\n<li><b>Data breach notifications:<\/b> We support GDPR (and CCPA) requirements and industry best practices for data breach notifications.<\/li>\n<li><b>Data Control:\u00a0<\/b>Customers have the ability to download and delete content (meeting recordings, voice mails) from RingCentral at any time.<\/li>\n<li><b>Traffic and location data:<\/b>\u00a0RingCentral uses traffic and location data solely to provide its services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of our ongoing commitment to being a trusted partner to all of our clients, we are expanding our technical infrastructure for European and UK customers, and hiring locally to support that infrastructure and our European customers.\u00a0\u00a0<b>This technical infrastructure will be in place by year end 2021 and will be locally staffed with EU-based operations and support by the middle of 2022.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n\t\t<div class=\"uc-expo-cta-2 style-4  CID-cta-2FdM5dTp\"\r\n\t\t\tdata-dl-custom-type=\"ctaButton\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"inner-container\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Of the many questions companies have when considering a move to the cloud, security sits at the top of the list. Data sent out of Europe will be pseudonymised when possible. If you call someone outside of Europe, there will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ringcentral.com\/gb\/en\/office\/features\/call-logs\/overview.html\">call logs<\/a> outside of Europe (we can\u2019t prevent that).<\/li>\n<li><b>Operations<\/b>:\u00a0All European infrastructure will have infrastructure support provided by European staff. This means that the maintenance of the European infrastructure will be performed by European personnel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support<\/strong>: All European Customers will have Europe or UK support teams to help with Tier 1, 2 and 3 support in Europe-working hours. This means that all support help during business hours, including support that may require access to your data, will be performed by European personnel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analytics Portal<\/strong>: Our industry leading Analytics Portal, providing complete visibility into your RingCentral usage and adoption across your organisation, will be collected, processed and stored in Europe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Service Abuse and Fraud Management<\/strong>:\u00a0Local\u00a0European analysts will triage and address any Europe-related occurrences of service abuse and fraud, following our global industry leading practices.
