Content Collaboration and Data Archival Made Easier with RingCentral for Box

In the digital era, information in the form of data and content is generated at tremendous speeds and with teams and offices more mobile and dispersed than ever before. There is a need for faster, more secure means of storing and sharing this information. Knowledge workers are also looking at ways to make this information more accessible and actionable.

RingCentral’s multiple integration points with Box save time and boost productivity by simplifying and streamlining the way content is stored and managed. Collaboration over documents is made easier as Box files can be shared on-the-go – via the RingCentral app, fax or texts. Also, all RingCentral communications data can be securely archived to Box and accessed at any time. By doing this, users have all the information they need at their fingertips and can gather crucial business and operational insights.

From within the RingCentral app, you can enjoy easy-to-use team messaging capabilities – simply select the document from your Box account and share directly with your co-workers or guests. This integration saves time and ensures that everyone has access to the most recent files with version control.

RingCentral FaxOut gives users the ability to fax Box documents to up to 50 recipients simultaneously, with just a few clicks. Commonly used faxing features, such as adding a cover page or a custom message are also available.

With RingCentral SMS for Box, users can easily share and view files on the go, on their mobile phones. One can seamlessly share stored documents by texting Box file or folder links to up to 10 RingCentral contacts. We have also recently introduced the ability for users to integrate with Box under RingCentral Archiver. RingCentral Archiver is an automatic and convenient archival solution within the RingCentral service web.

With Box integrated with RingCentral Archiver, users and admins can automatically push call recordings, voicemails, text messages, and faxes to their Box account. This immediately resolves storage limitations and provides one central place for this data to be securely managed, accessed and searched. Using Box Skills, customers can use machine learning to derive even more value from the data, like transcribing call recordings and voicemails and extracting topics and phrases from transcripts.

“The flexibility offered by cloud solutions like RingCentral and Box allows us to integrate in all the logical ways that a user’s workflow requires boosting productivity. And, with our latest Archiver integration touch point and Box skills, customers are able to leverage best in class tools to gain invaluable insight into their communications data,” says David Lee, VP of Platform Products at RingCentral.

Faizan Buzdar, Senior Director of Product Management from Box adds, “Box for RingCentral accelerates business for our joint customers, and internally at Box, by automating communication around content. With this new capability to automatically push to Box and archive RingCentral recordings, we are excited to enable customers to drive more business efficiency by applying machine learning to this valuable content via Box Skills.”

With RingCentral for Box, never lose another important voicemail or message again with automatic archival and quickly share Box documents anytime, anywhere, from any device.
