The first study of its kind: G2's voice AI agents interviewed 359 business leaders about how organizations are deploying, governing, and measuring the value of agentic voice AI.

Voice has long been a critical business channel. Across calls and video conversations, people answer questions, solve problems, make decisions, and move work forward.

Agentic voice AI brings AI agents directly into those conversations. These agents can lead interactions, take action, and make decisions within defined areas of responsibility, while capturing the resulting conversation data. Throughout this report, references to "agents" refer specifically to agentic voice AI.

The study included 359 professionals across industries and company sizes who identify voice as important to their business and are considering, evaluating, piloting, or actively deploying agentic voice AI. The interviews explored how organizations are approaching deployment, governance, risk, performance, and investment as voice AI takes on a greater role in business conversations. To understand how businesses are putting these capabilities to work, we used agentic voice AI to conduct the primary research itself. Our voice AI agents conducted more than 86 hours of one-on-one interviews, enabling hundreds of in-depth conversations over weeks rather than the months typically required for human-led qualitative research.

"When conducting interviews, the inherent human limitation is that you have a largenumber of interviewees, but only a small number of interviewers. By using AI to interview, you've flipped the script, you essentially have an infinite number of interviewers, and you only need to scale recruitment. 1,000 interviews in a single day is very possible."
