RingCentral’s iOS, Android Apps Improved With New Features

medium_4580058581The RingCentral mobile experience has gotten even better!

This week, RingCentral released updates to both its iOS app and its Android app. Included in the new apps are features that make RingCentral Office more powerful and flexible for mobile users.

The brand-new features include:

Integration with file storage service Box
With Box integration, you can attach documents stored in Box to faxes created in RingCentral’s Android or iOS apps. Dropbox is also supported.

Intercom
Now, calls connected in the RingCentral app over VoIP (i.e, with a data connection) may be announced with RingCentral’s intercom feature. To learn more about Intercom, click here.

Intercom is disabled by default – you will have to log in to the RingCentral service site at https://service.ringcentral.com and navigate to Settings > My Settings > Phones & Numbers > Intercom to turn it on. You will also have to “allow” other users within your organization to contact your extension via intercom.

Call Park
Introduced in RingCentral’s last major Office update, Call Park allows calls to be “parked” in the cloud and picked up by another extension. With the latest version of the RingCentral app, parked calls can be picked up by RingCentral app users connected via VoIP. Find more on Call Park right here.

Visit the App Store or the Play Store to make sure you’re using the newest RingCentral app! And share with us how you plan to start using these exciting new features.
