RingCentral VP Explains How the Cloud Can Aid in Disaster Recovery [Video]

We are thrilled to report that our own Curtis Peterson – RingCentral’s vice president of network operations – was invited this week to speak on First Business News about the role cloud computing can play in corporate disaster recovery (DR) plans.

As Superstorm Sandy illustrated, weather events can make business as usual anything but. Yet cloud computing – which allows data and applications to be hosted remotely, rather than agglomerated in a single location – can help companies maintain a modicum of normalcy in the face of natural disasters.

“It’s making sure the hardware is protected, and specifically the data on the systems is retained during any type of disaster,” Curtis explains.

Watch Curtis’ First Business News interview below to learn more DR best practices. Additionally, we are thrilled that Curtis and his disaster recovery tips are featured on Fox News and PC Mag.
