RingCentral at ITEXPO East 2013

RingCentral exhibited at ITEXPO East in Miami Beach, FL last week. We introduced our new booth, and brought along especially bright booth staff (check out our orange pants!).

Fashion do or don’t aside, the show wasn’t all about making a fashion statement; RingCentral showcased  Business SMS, participated on two panel discussions, interviewed with TMC, met with current and potential partners and customers, and after all that was over,  took home the Best of Show: Best Cloud Solution Award.

It was definitely an action packed week! Special thanks to our partners and customers that stopped by the booth, and show attendees who stopped by to learn about RingCentral’s various solutions and product offerings.

We love it when partners stop by just to say hi or to update us on how they’re doing reselling our product. The team at Get IT Got IT (a South Florida RingCentral Partner) stopped by our booth and picked up a few RingCentral t-shirts.

It’s an exciting time at RingCentral, there’s a lot of innovation and growth happening around here. Our Director of Product Management, Jose Pastor, took the spotlight and discussed growth in the cloud telephony space with TMC Web Editor Rich Steeves.

RingCentral also participated on the panel: Making Sense of the Options: Hosted vs. Cloud vs. On-Premises Solutions. Panelists focused the discussion on the benefits of the cloud which they agreed provides more value to customers and makes it simpler to deliver a better customer experience, like BYOD. Panelists talked about the resources they’re creating to help businesses make the transition to the cloud, including portals, migrations tools and self-service tools to enable customer success.

With so much innovation on the way, we couldn’t resist joining another panel discussion. During the Future of Cloud-based Telephony for Small Businesses Panel, the discussion concentrated on the  importance of understanding that customers want to focus on their industry and their specialty, not spend time configuring a router or trying to understand the intricacies of their network. Panelists recommended customers prepare for the future of the cloud by preparing their network, evaluating bandwidth needs, and addressing all security concerns. They stressed the importance of thinking about business needs, and considering mobility, BYOD and scalability.
